The rules and regulations of Al-Noor Indian Matriculation Higher Secondary School exist to ensure a safe, respectful and productive environment for every student, staff member and visitor. We ask that all students and parents read and understand these guidelines, as they form the foundation of our school community.

1 Code of Conduct

At Al-Noor, we hold our students to a high standard of behaviour. Students are expected to take responsibility for their actions at all times and to conduct themselves with respect and maturity. This includes showing respect for fellow students, teachers, support staff and all other adults in positions of authority. Bullying, harassment and disruptive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. Students are also expected to take pride in their school and to treat all school property, equipment and facilities with care.

2 Discipline Statement

We believe that good discipline begins at home. Parents hold the primary responsibility for instilling values and appropriate behaviour in their children. When a student's behaviour requires school intervention, we will always inform the parent and ask for their cooperation. Our teachers are here to educate. A classroom free from disruption is essential for every student's learning. Our discipline approach is built on trust and mutual respect. We believe in every student's ability to make the right choices, and we will support them in doing so.

3 Classroom and Common Area Rules

Students are expected to arrive on time and come prepared for every lesson. In the classroom, students must speak respectfully and only with the teacher's permission, avoid interrupting the learning process, use their time productively, and keep their hands, feet and belongings to themselves. In hallways and common areas, students must walk orderly, remain quiet, and follow all staff instructions. During lunch, students must remain seated, keep noise to a minimum, and clean up their area before leaving.

4 Personal Property

To maintain a focused learning environment, students are not permitted to bring personal items such as mobile phones, electronic games, earphones, toys, trading cards or any non-academic items to school. Any such items brought to school will be confiscated and held at the school office. Personal items may only be brought to school if specifically requested by a teacher as part of a class activity. Please note that school rules apply not only on school premises but also when travelling to and from school, at the bus stop, and on any school field trips.

5 Transport: School Van, Bus and Walking Students

Students who travel by school van or bus are expected to maintain the same standard of behaviour as they would in the classroom. The driver holds full authority over all students on board, and any concerns should be raised with the driver or school management. Riding the school van or bus is a privilege, not a right, and it can be withdrawn for misconduct. For students who walk to school, parents are asked to arrange collection at the school side entrance by 3:45pm each day. The main entrance is reserved for school transport only. We ask all parents to cooperate fully with our safety procedures, as the wellbeing of your child is our shared priority.

6 Health, Illness and Medication

Students who are unwell should not attend school. If your child falls ill during the school day, parents or emergency contacts will be notified promptly. It is essential that the school holds a current emergency contact number for every student, updated whenever details change. In the event of a minor accident, basic first aid will be administered and parents will be informed. Regarding medication, the school will only administer medicine brought from home in its original container, accompanied by a written note from the parent. Medication containing aspirin cannot be administered by school staff. All medication must be handed in at the school office unless a physician has directed otherwise. Any medication taken on a daily basis requires a signed Medication Consent Form from a parent or legal guardian.

7 School Visitors

All visitors to Al-Noor must sign in and out at the main entrance gate register, providing their name, reason for visit and time of arrival. Parents are required to carry their school visiting card at all times when on school premises. These measures are in place to ensure the safety and security of every student in our care.
